I have not been but I know we have some members who have so hopefully they will be along soon.
A day trip? Wow. That's a long drive for a day trip.
Miami is a wonderful city. :yes: I LOVE going there, and just wandering around. SoBe is wicked fun, and the beach is really nice. I get a personal kick (for obvious reasons) out of seeing the Pride Flag flying on the beach. :yes:
Everglades, I've driven through but never done a tour. You'll have to tell us all about it!

well never done miami but I did a day trip to the everglades and naples. Absolutely loved it! some of the best time I've had in Florida :yes: It's a fair old journey that's true but so worth it in my opinionQuote:

id love to go to the everglades and visit south beach, we have friends who have a villa not far from naples and theyve asked us to go visit if we are both over at the same time so we can do both as they have done neither
As Tink said it is a heck of a way from Orlando to Miami for a day trip...around a 3 hour drive or so.
Have you considered taking a couple of days longer and also visiting the Keys, you would absolutely love it there.

It's closer to four/four and a half to Miami and the same for Naples. Keep in mind though that Naples is on the west (Gulf coast) and Miami is on the east (Atlantic) coast. It's about an hour/hour and a half between the two on Rt 75 (Alligator Alley) which is a very nice drive!
You must have some good Cubano food when in Miami. You MUST! :D :D 8th St. (I can say it but not spell it... it sounds like "cayYAI ocho" is the BEST place to find authentic Cubano, if you only go to a little store front for a Media Noche (yummy sandwich!!!). :yes:
