I just read the 'dining plan' properly and realised that the table service is only for the mains and dessert and a drink no starter included?
Is there any option to trade the dessert for a starter?
If not could we pay for the starter and use the plan for the rest of the meal?
Yes they is true for the regular dp. However the deluxe dp includes an appetizer
you cannot trade the dessert for an app
you can purchase anything else you want
They will give you a seperate bill for appetizers and alcoholic beverages. We will order an appetizer on occasion and never had a problem!
You'd think you could have either an app or dessert. But then again, I didn't make up the rules.

Prefer starter than dessert.... Will treat to starter if there anything on the menu we fancy...
We checked that if we wanted upgrade to Deluxe would cost us £1,300 (!)
this answers a question i was going to ask, it's a real shame they wont let you swap a starter for desert.

My tip is:
If you don't want a dessert see if there is anything 'portable' in the dessert choices, such as fruit or pie/cake. Then ask for it 'to go'. We did this several times, taking cheesecake etc back to our villa. :yes:
