Owen hasn't got a visible disability unless you count the strange way he behaves. We have a letter stating Owen is Autistic which we used in Paris but now I'm guessing we will not qualify for one in WDW. :sigh1: Without one we will basically have to split up with one adult just walking round studying railings with Owen whilst the 3 others do the rides. :(
Suddenly not looking forward to our holiday so much now.............
Re: Guest Assistance Card
:cry2: I wasnt doing the "oh they just want one so they can get to the front of the line" question. It was seriously a real question and I wasnt pointing any fingers! :cry2:

Oh Hen! I know! :hug1: I'm just nervous that everything goes well on our trip and without a GAC it'll be such a strange holiday. Almost two parts if you know what I mean. A sort of them and us.
I only highlighted your quote to show that this is what I'm panicking about.
I should try to relax and not worry about what might happen
Re: Guest Assistance Card
whew...i didnt want you bunch mad at me!
Why do I talk funny when I hang out with you guys?
Re: Guest Assistance Card
You can still get a card for Owen. Take your letter to guest services. Just because his "disablity" isn't obvious, he still needs some extra assistance.
He studies railings?

Mostly railings, bridges (especially lifting ones) and railway lines. I could lose hours studying Owen studying stuff! Sliding doors are a big favourite too. Basically anything that follows a set path or pattern. No surprises or anything unexpected you see. Just how he likes it!
Re: Guest Assistance Card
Ahhh with you. Repeating patterns.

Spot on.
Re: Guest Assistance Card
Derailing a bit.
Have you read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night? It was a total eye opener for me.

Yes. Excellent book. That must be the closest you could get to getting inside the mind of an Autistic person.
