Here is the test-run of our xmas desert this year. I made american/new york style cheesecake with mixed-berry compote (look for the 'bloomin' easy cheesecake recipe on jamie oliver's site) It is fantastic and I'm going to make another tomorrow for Xmas day.

What kind of berries did you use?
Strawberries, Blackberries & Blueberries :) It's so easy to make. Add in the fruit, chopped. A dash of water, 3-4 shots of vodka, sugar and simmer for 10 minutes :)

It might not look much but it tastes so nice!
I think it looks really nice, especially with the berries falling off it and laying on the plate.
