Concept art for Walt Disney World's Art of Animation Resort revelealed

In September 2010, the first pieces of concept art were released for the brand new Art of Animation Resort set to open at the Walt Disney World Resort in 2012.

We knew little about the new resort, but that it would include The Lion King, Finding Nemo, Cars, and The Little Mermaid as its primary focus. Prospective guests are now able to see a bit more thanks to brand new concept art recently released that will show guests exactly what they have to look forward to.

The new resort is being built across from Disney's Pop Century Resort and will include 10 buildings, 3 large pools, and a number of play areas for the kids.

At the "Imagineering Walt Disney World" presentation at Destination D at Walt Disney World, more detail was given about the elevations, courtyards, and room interiors for all four sections. All of that is visible in the slideshow along with some concept art from the main lobby as well

Disney's nearly 2,000 room resort will open in 2012 and be there to help supply space for the ever-growing guests at Walt Disney World.
