Do we need to take ipads out?

When going through security at orlando and london, do we need to take ipads out? I've read that we dont but then also that we do :lol:

Yes you do, I had net book and iPad and both had to go in the box on way back in March and at Gatwick on way out last week

I'm pretty sure the official TSA line is that no, small netbooks, ipads etc do not need to be taken out but you know how it is, if you leave it in it'll be wrong, if you take it out it'll be wrong but at least taking it out shows willing

Ok Keith just to really rub it in... I am sitting in World of Golf in St Augustine waiting for friends to Finnish a round of golf and it's a lovely warm evening with a slight breeze... And we are of to get a juicy steak when there done....

I asked last week and was told no. I went through MCO yesterday and didn't take it out. No problems
