Re: Epcot's Food and Wine Festival 2011 - Poland
Poland needs to offer something new. This is the same old, same old every year! Not to mention we cook these items at home, so wouldn't really want to "taste" them there. :sorry:
Re: Epcot's Food and Wine Festival 2011 - Poland
Oh but sister Tink.....that looks AWESOME. I love Polish food...funny never knew how to spell Golabki....thought it was Hallupki. Either way..I love pierogi
Throw out almost my entire Polish vocabulary (at least the clean words)
Dobra shunka - good meat (ham)
Re: Epcot's Food and Wine Festival 2011 - Poland
Oh yeah! Gotta agree. Any day's a good day for Kielbasa!
Except I used to get mine as lunch at a little bar in Hartford, CT called the Polish National Home. Kielbasa, sauerkraut, rye bread and a cold beer. Nothing better!
Tom (:macwave:... but I also kind of like the Pierogie's!)
Re: Epcot's Food and Wine Festival 2011 - Poland
You got that right Tom...still get homemade pierogi at some of the bars in Scranton. 3 homemade potato pierogi, smothered in butter and onions for $2.50. Crazy good!
There are a few old school places that still will ship out fresh kielbasi to all parts of the world. Ex pats from NE PA can't find it where they have moved and it wouldn't be the holidays without it. Schiffs in Scranton comes to mind...that stuff from Hillshire Farms is junk compared to the real thing.
