Wow isn't she a beauty  Brilliant photo, thank you so much :hug2:
How on earth did you manage to get so close to her :)
Brilliant photo! Thanks! :mental:
Ummm... maybe because he's a detective in the NYC Police department?
Just guessing but I'd imagine the shield can probably get you into various places that us mere mortals dare not enter.
Tom (:macwave:... it's a great photo!)
True that Tom. Great shot by he way!!
Actually no badge was necessary. I was able to get that close on my own. I have never been that close to a cruise ship before. That thing is enormous.
Love the photo! The first cruise ship I ever saw was in the NYC harbor too. It was an Italian liner and absolutely enormous to a 14yr old! I love the misty back ground.
So, butterhead? When you goin' on a cruise?
Intersting. I'm surprised they let you get that close.
But you're right. It's enormous! The walk from the main lobby on deck 4 (which is about midships) back to the entertainment district in the stern feels like it's a couple of city blocks long. When we'd go back there when we were on the Dream, I almost wished they had put in benches along the way so you could sit down and rest.
But if you've never been that close before, that implies that you've never been on a cruise. You owe it to yourself to go.
It's seriously among the best vacations my DW and I have ever had!
Tom (:macwave:... really big...)
It is true that I have never been on a cruise before. I thought that I would have cabin fever being confined to a ship for a week but after seeing the size of this ship I think I could do it.
The cruise terminal is twenty feet or so from the public bike path which is where I was standing when I asked a security guy if I could get closer to take a photo and he allowed me to do so. My mother told she read in the papers that the ship will be open to the public this Saturday .
