mini golf outside disney and other things to do?
now we're renting a car (thanks to everyone who prodded us into doing it  ) we're enjoying driving around and trying stupid little things outside disney.
So, what little things do you go see/do outside disney?
We saw loads of mini golf courses last time that we thought we could try (any good ones????)
What else is there? I wondered whether to try that ice bar place
is ripleys believe it or not worth doing?
How about the titanic exhibit, is the tour worth doing or is it better to wander round ourselves?
anything else??? :)
Re: mini golf outside disney and other things to do?
I'd be interested to hear this too, not for the next trip but one after
Re: mini golf outside disney and other things to do?
I'm not much help with places like Ripleys and Titanic, they just don't appeal to me.
There is the new Hollywood Drive In crazy golf that has opened at Universal Studios which sounds very popular, you could give that one a go. There are some pictures here
You've got to go to Kennedy, you can still see the shuttle in the VAB, it's there until mid 2013 so that's got to be worth a trip.
Take a drive up to Daytona Beach and go for a drive on the beach :lol
Re: mini golf outside disney and other things to do?
ooo definitely want to do THAT crazy gold thanks for reminding me :)))
Did KSC and the VAB last time.. it was brilliant....
Re: mini golf outside disney and other things to do?
Little things to do? Well, ummmm... there is the birding trail... Leu Gardens, the Science Center and Museum, the Folk Art Museum, and Bok Tower, and Webster Flea and Farmer's Market on Mondays, and the Ponce Inlet Light House, and Blue Springs (for manatees when it's cold out) and Daytona Raceway (if you are into that at all)...
Now, if you really want to live it up, I can recommend a number of places that are closed... right Wendy? :sigh:
Re: mini golf outside disney and other things to do?

We like the Pirate Cove golf course and the Hawaiian rumble one, both have 2 routes to choose from or you can do both.
Ripleys is ok, id say if you were that way on a rainy day then do it. I loved Titanic, but i find things like that very interesting. Im not sure you can do it without going on the tour, im sure when we did it we had to wait til a certain time for the next tour to begin. Id do titanic again though
