I love Dark Shadows. Not gonna lie, I'm speaking of the 90's remake, but this is just weird for me. Sometimes Tim Burton is brilliant, and then well...sometimes he does something like this and Willy Wonka. :unsure:

I think it looks good. I'll probably be going to see it.

I never watched the original. It's a comedy??? :unsure:

It looks funny, not sure I'd got to the cinema to watch it but certainly at home

It's kind of interesting. I read an article the other day about this movie that stated that the reaction to it is pretty evenly divided among two camps. The fans of the original (or 90's remake) are not enthusiastic. The people who weren't fans of the originals are really looking forward to this. For myself, I was not a fan earlier and as such, am looking forward to this one. To each their own.

Interesting! I had no idea it *was* a remake! I saw the commercial for it the other day and was immediately intrigued...and, well, since he went to all the trouble of debuting it on my birthday....I'll go see it :)

Ok. I went to see this last night. It was weird. well, that may not even be a fair assessment. I had only seen the trailers. I thought it was going to be a funny movie. It is not.

That being said, I have never seen the original tv show (which apparently I should have so I would have understood the movie so much better!). I've never seen any remakes. Nothing.

I think it was well made but again, without seeing the original show, I can't even say.

I will say that I thought it was a hybrid of The Exorcist, Death Becomes Her, True Blood, a little POTC and Haunted Mansion thrown in......
