Why was MGM Studios renamed?

Just asking :lol: anyone know?

Because the affiliation between Disney and MGM expired and Disney chose not to renew it. Disney is so much more than MGM so Disney Hollywood Studios seems appropriate. They also now have a huge PIXAR sign on property.

It will always be MGM to me...:p
