Re: Astronomy Update August
Although the maximum of the shower is the 12-14th you should still see some for the rest of the month- TBH if you are outside long enough at any time of the year you will see several each night
Sorry Claire - I have gotten so used to calling it Ursa Major in the last year that I kind of forgot that most people in the UK call it the plough as opposed to the big dipper
Re: Astronomy Update August
the stars are fascinating to me, can I see these things with the naked eye skywatcher? we do have some binoculars if that would be better
Re: Astronomy Update August
all that I have listed is visible with just the naked eye - the meteors are betetr off without binos TBH - the lunar eclipse however will be lovely with binos' if you have them as will jupiter
Re: Astronomy Update August
Hold tight you are being flown over to the new Hobbies A-Z home :D
Re: Astronomy Update August
Have just realised that because we are off to Greece at the weekend we get to see this as a full Lunar Eclipse :D - the boy is very happy - means I will be without my scope but I will do my best to photograph it for you
