Re: Epcot's Bistro de Paris named best theme-park restaurant
All the restaurants (if we want to be brutally honest) in EPCOT have fallen off. I remember when Germany's buffet was really, really nice. It used to have schitzel, and sauerbraten, etc... lovely sausages. Morocco was great with authentic dishes prepared in the traditional manner... each restaurant was representative of its country. Now, it's all bland, overly processed fare, so no one place is as good as it used to be.
I remember years ago, each Friday we'd walk the world showcase and decided on where we wanted to have dinner. It was almost always a matter of a walkup. Food was great, service was nice and it was a pleasant weekly outing.
No more, unfortunately. No walkups, the food is not worth the price, and service is rudimentary at best in most places... even our long time favorites have changes that make them less than what they once were. :sigh:
I know, I know. Progress. :sigh:
