We are headed to DD to catch a cab. The girlies have decided they'd rather search the outlets for bargains than hit a mall...so be it. I'm sat here on the bus out of their sight for now, hoping they won't catch on to just how nervous I am.

Thing is, I've never travelled outside of Disney property as the only "adult" and given my unique proclivity for getting lost, well I'm practically shaking. The loss of control I feel in situations like these is almost palatable. Yep. So, just wanted I check in and see a "familiar face" whilst I try to hold it all together!

Cheers to new experiences and all that rubbish!

Bonus, we met a mom and her two kiddos on the bus to DD who were also going to the outlets, so we split the taxi! $10 with tip!!

Thanks guys ;-) it's always good to have a safe place to put your fears out there, if only to reread them and see just how silly they really are!!

Good heavens, we've been here 20 minutes and already spent a hundred dollars!! Lol, I'll console myself with the knowledge that it can all be worn to school and would have cost twice that amount at home. AND, we got the dreaded "freshman year backpack" purchase made!

Lol I'm so old that we didn't have backpacks then. Well I'm sure some people had them but we were all "too cool" for that lol

Don't forget to go to the Disney outlet!

I actually carried a handled canvas bag in HS. I walked and it was much easier to pack the books that way than it was to lug them in my arms.

I'm really pleased for you Becca! I know how nerve wracking new experiences can be when you are aware of your own personal "stuff." The first time I had to transfer in an airport alone, where I'd never been before I was on red alert! :eek:

Nice that they enjoyed the outlets! Kids, huh? Can never second guess what they may do!
