Yes it is Tink, I think it's just under £400/$600 per flight to the US tax. Ridiculous really and a a cheap target, however I'd rather them collect it on something that is a luxury rather than more tax on petrol or raise VAT further.

The price is ridiculous and they say it's because of the UK carbon footprint. Well if that's the case then they should be charging more for internal flights in the UK not long haul. On a long haul you are out of British airspace within half an hour, it's just another "lets make some money and say it's to stop global warning" :furious:
