Universal Studios in Talks for the Rights to Lord of the Rings

There is a rumour circulating that Universal is very close to striking a deal to acquire the rights to the Lord of the Rings franchise of films.

If successful then Universal will have the rights to produce and develop rides and attractions based on the Lord of the Rings.

I wonder how they will do this, maybe a new Middle Earth area similar in size to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Saw the Hobbit last week and loved it, probably a bit more than anyone should love a 3 hour film about dwarves. :rotfl:

I havent been to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but hav eheard great things, so Im guessing they would do a great job if they ever decide to build parts of Middle Earth.... still, not sure if Im excited about it
