Went there 2years ago had a great meal and a seat by the window good service good food good atmosphere worth a visit
I'd recommend it for location during fireworks and champagne. Food? Nope. :sorry:
We really like it and it's probably the one place onsite which we must do every visit.
Location is great and a window table for fireworks is just WONDERFUL but even if not, you can go outside and watch them and then come back inside.
HOWEVER, the food and service has been variable the last few years. I'm hopeful that the renovation may give them a bit of a kick in the right direction.
On a good night, it's a meal you'll remember for ages, on a bad night you have to just enjoy the view and try not to notice how much you've paid for a mediocre meal :/
While we have never experienced either bad food or service at CG I've seen and read many reports of it happening. We really like this restaurant but it isn't one we HAVE to do on every trip.
Think I must be oe of the lucky ones as I've never had a bad meal here. The one in September was quite the highlight of the holiday, the food was excellent and the server one of the most attentive and helpful I've had in a long time. Even DGS who is 6 thoroughly enjoyed his meal and my DS said it was the best meal of the holiday. :yes::yes:
