Carousel of Progress - Like or Dislike?

On my husband's and my first trip together (when we were still dating), we ducked into it to get out of a hot day and found it delightfully empty. We were literally the only ones on the ride. And while I enjoy the ride itself, part of the reason I love it is the memory of some stolen kisses that we shared on it. :smoochboy:

I do love the vintagey-ness of it, and I love it because it's so much what Walt imagined for his parks. And that darn song stays in your head for the rest of the day, but it's just so catchy, you don't mind! :wink:

I do think they could update the ending. What would be perfect in my eyes is if they could make the room that it ends in now another decade room (like, say, a 90's room), and add another, more modern room for the ending, but I doubt they have room for that.

I can't imagine WDW without it! I know many folks prefer bigger, faster, higher. But I enjoy the simple things too.

I like it, I see it as a pure disney attraction. I don't go on it every time but even so

This is one of my favourites. Its usually one of the last rides we do so a welcome sit down for a while before the fireworks start

Love! Although I definitely agree that the last scene could use some updating, the ride itself is one of my favorites. I'm all for the new rides, but I'm always a little sad when an old ride disappears...So I'm glad that this ride hangs in there. And I'm freakishly obsessed with the song. For weeks before and after any trip to Disney, I walk around singing it, somehow unable to stop it. It's in the older rides where I get the classic Disney magic and I love it.

Maybe I need to give it another try this year :unsure:

Love it and ride it every night I can :) I find the transition to the last scene a bit jarring since they've updated it hugely so there's a massive gap but that's nit picking. I always have a smile on my face after riding tta and the carousel. Simple relaxing enjoyment

I adore it and usually ride it early on, and sometimes more than once in my trip. I love the song and I end up singing it during the entire trip.
