Have you ever done this and is it worth the cost. I couldn't go in it because I don't like heights, but I think Chris would enjoy it, he would take hs camera.
How long are you up there?

We did it a few years ago. Really liked it, you aren't up there long, it slowly goes up and then down again it doesn't stop at the top. You can get some great photos up there though, the views are fab!
The problem we found in August was that it was often closed due to lightening in the area or string winds, it took a few trips to DTD until we finally found it working.
There was recently a deal on Groupon for this.
I wouldn't go on it if it was free lol. I love thrill rides but I'm not going up that high and be pretty still.
Herself is afraid of heights, and had no problems on this. It's very gentle and you can look off to the horizon instead of down to produce that fear.
It's great if it's a clear day, otherwise it was a bit boring!
Ok thanks :)
Tink does it go as high at the lighthouse?
We were very lucky when we did this ride a few years ago.
We were at DTD quite early in the morning and there was no-one else standing in line so we had the entire thing all to ourselves...apart from the "pilot" of course!
Because of this we got chatting to the pilot and he kept us up there for quite a while as he was pointing out a few landmarks to us....and the signs of an approaching storm which he said would call for the ride to be closed later in the day!
He also took a few photos of us with my camera at his suggestion.
Give it a go Wendy...if my DW can do it, then anyone can.
