Epcot Cancels all Segway Tours

Walt Disney World has cancelled it's Keep Moving Forward: See the World, Share the Dream Segway Tour at Epcot.

Reports are indicating that Disney is contacting guests who have already scheduled their tours for cancellation. No reason has been given for the cancellation or whether this is a temporary change or a permanent one.

Wow. That's really too bad. Those are very nice tours. :(

Darn it! I was going to do the Segway tour on our next trip. :sorry:

I wonder why. Seemingly the tours were very popular. Is it a health and safety issue. or something else?

We did the around the world tour and loved it. Shame they arent doing them anymore.

You could always do a Segway tour outside of Disney - we did ours in Sarasota but they also do them in Celebration.

Terry, Disney is still offering the segway tour over at Fort Wilderness.

It's called the Wilderness Back Trail Adventure and you ride the X2 which is an all terrain segway, in a tour that lasts about two hours making stops along the way that include Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, the Tri-Circle-D Ranch, and Bay Lake.

I will look for some more information for you if you are interested :D

Oh no. Really wanted to do that on our next trip.

The Fort Wilderness one is great fun too. :yes: We did the EPCOT one and the Fort Wilderness one. :yes:

The Celebration one is not so much a tour as it is simply riding on one around the area/lake. Not bad, but not the same.
