Another flight question

The New York rules are a result of 9-11, the international flight rules may be as well. Do you recall having the same rules before 9-11?

There were no rules before 9/11 lol. I don't remember it when I flew into New York, 2006 I think. I thought it was something quite recent

I don't even remember being told to keep my hands showing :lol:

I hadn't flown for years prior to 9-11
