To be honest if you are doing a flying trip this way in December I'd go for somewhere in Germany that has a Christmas market - somewhere like Munich maybe.
OOOHHH good to know. Cheers for that.
I won't make the beds up just yet then!
Well I wouldn't go from here to Europe for 5 days - cos it takes me over a day to get there. :shocked025:
But a comparable distance for 5 days - yep, and I desperately want to go back to Europe, so if I only had to go as far as you do - I'd go for it.
I love Dawn's Christmas market suggestion - Germany would be gorgeous! I'd go as your translator but it's a little far for 5 days as I said. :(
Sorry! I've been tinkering with a long weekend in Dec.....and taking my mom for her Christmas present. She really wanted to see the Christmas lights/decorations at Disney but we had to cancel the Thanksgiving trip b/c her brother had a stroke. So, I've got all of these plans on my mind.....
You and me both, sister...you and me both :)
At your age, if expense wasn't a consideration, I'd probably go to Europe. Although, as Dawn suggested, possibly Germany rather than UK.
At this point in my life, the five-hour flight to the east coast added to the eight- or nine-hour flight to Europe...no way, no how! And I would freeze to death! I don't own clothing suitable for temperatures much below 60 degrees!
WDW in December probably would get my vote for a short trip, though. It's gorgeous. The weather is variable, but usually nice. And as Johnie said, no jet lag for you! :D
