Adrian came home today with a serious pair of binoculars he found in a second-hand camera shop.
I've been out looking at Orion - it appears so close I could reach out and touch it.
Steven says he saw a small nebula.

Not yet but I may pop back out later to have a look.
Look for ET too, he still hasn't paid that phone bill
funnily after reading my January edition of sky at night magazine  i was thinking of getting some binoclears- is it venus that's really bright at the moment- think its SSW or something
we were looking at that tonight - it's soooo bright.
Adrian took the dog out for a late night walk last night to look at the moon.
cool - yes - Venus is sooooooooooooo bright at the moment looks like a car headlight
Adrian is talking about starter telescopes.
He was a bit nervous last night that I would complain he'd blown the Disney fund again on the binoculars. I told him we were carpe diem-ing and went outside in my jammies to test them.
don't buy a cheap telescope - the binos are so much better and more portable - I like the carpe dieming but though :D
