Claire there are tons of cycle accessible caches out there. Search around your area for caches with similar names - chances are they are part of a series. Then read the cache notes for details of accessibility.

can you use a regular sat-nav type device for caching or does it have to be one specifically for GPS?

Sat navs are ok ish but one you get started you will need one of the hand held jobbies - the main issue was the batetry life on my tomtom
