ooooohhhhh!!!!!!!! I can't wait.:mental: My hubby is working over the weekend in London and has said he might go and see it but the boys have made him swear we will do it as a family film. heeheeheehee!!!!!
It looks fantastic.:happydance:
They did very well indeed really given that was always going to be hard.
The effects were excellent including a new funky transporter effect which was good. The control surfaces of the Enterprise have evolved. The original controls always looked SO dated given they're still supposed to be in our future and they did a good job of having new panels that looked futuristic without being all the way to next generation standards. Funny though, there were still radio shack (tandy for those of us old enough) light bulbs around the place for warnings
The scale of the ship itself was well done too! It really seemed massive inside, as it should be.
I think the only character I was so-so about was Scotty. I guess it was an impossible role for someone to live upto but I'm hmmmmmsome about that. Need to watch again
Diane is going tonight and I'm thinking we'll try and go next week.
Were there any guest appearances by the tribbles?
Wasn't Scotty played by the guy from the Shaun of the Dead (love that movie by the way)?
I was actually given old black and white Star Trek baseball cards from way back when, with the orginial characters. :D
:geekon:
Keith I feel a whole new wave of warmth toward you my friend it is only a true :geekon: trekkie who would know the name of the cheese loving hound  - Lisa and I are particularly into Voyager and DS9 but love em all. I have a collection of Star Trek Drs autographs ( can't believe I said that out loud)
It is great to see the franchise arising from the ashes once more
No 1 you have the bridge...
Mmmmmmm, Seven of Nine...
