:lol: I'm with you on that.
It's a handy tip for anyone with children though. It means the family doesn't have to stay in the restaurant too long and is a good way to get the children to sit for a short time later on. :D

are you really allowed to take food from the restaurants though?

You can always get a doggie bag as long as it's not a buffet. Of course, I have taken my an apple or banana from a buffet countless times.

With Tatiana its just impossible to time meals, and even harder to know what she will find worth eating on a particular occasion
