Oh no.... suitcases too big....

I've just measured our 2 suitcases and the dimensions, on each, add up to an inch or so more than they should.
Mine was brand new this year, I even checked the label that said it was the correct size before I bought it.
I'm so annoyed.

To be honest, I think ours are the same but we've used them 3 or 4 times a year without any problem at all! I think they go off weight much more than size unless they're grotesquely large!

Ah, that's good to hear. They're only over by small amount. In fact the label that's on my new one says it's smaller than I measured it as. We can only take one each as DH has to carry/lift both of them.

I agree, Taja, especially since it's the traveler, not the luggage manufacturer, who'll have to pay the over-limit fees if the measurements aren't accurate...sheesh!

Thanks for that tip. When I measured, I did take it over the handles and wheels to get the maximum size. That's obviously why my measurements were different to the manufacturer's label.

Mine are slightly over too and have used them several times. I actually spoke to someone in special assistance a few years ago, just afterI had bought some ones as I was worried. She told me to take them back and get a refund and just to worry about the weight. A few inches over the three dimensions would not be recognisable.
