Magic Kingdom Castle holiday decorations started

Yes, only August but already the lights are going on the castle ready for the christmas holiday celebrations! This is less surprising than you may think when you remember that some of the christmas party nights start in early november!

Eventually there will be 250,000 white low power, high illumination LEDs (all of Disney is transitioning away from old style bulbs to new style LEDs and has been for several years now)

Psssst, Mari...my Christmas tree never came down.

Long story, but since I'm a single mom now with no help whatsoever from my monster-in-law (or anyone else really), once I got that nine-footer put up, there was no earthly way I was risking life and limb to take it down again!

But back on the subject of the thread--I love hearing that they're starting to put up the lights (even if they're not turning them on just yet). It reminds me that those are the very same lights I'll be going "ooooo" and "aaaaah" at during Christmas week this year!
