Performer at Magic Kingdom dies
Mark Priest was a performer in Captain Jack's Pirate Tutorial in the Magic Kingdom when he slipped and hit his head on a wall. The injury was not considered serious but, according to the Miami Herald, after being upgraded out of intensive care on Monday, Priest's condition "deteriorated rapidly" and he died.

Re: Performer at Magic Kingdom dies
This was on a news report a night or so ago.
It wasn't clear which performer was Mark Priest at the time of the news report. As you say, Daveann, truly tragic.

Re: Performer at Magic Kingdom dies
I was curious about which one he was as well, Tink.
After searching a bit, I found an article in the Orlando Sentinel which identified him as the man who played "Mack" in the Cap'n Jack show.
Sad news.

I heard about this yesterday

I wonder if this is the same gentleman we've encountered several times near POTC. He is always a pirate and so much fun.I am a travel agent with The Magic For Less Travel. Please private message me if you'd like help booking a trip!

Re: Performer at Magic Kingdom dies
I know which one you're talking about Johnie, and I would be even MORE heartbroken if it were...wasn't he the one who used to perform at the Diamond Horseshoe Saloon?
Either way it is devastatingly sad, but my kids have very nearly grown up with the one I'm thinking of....
I did read one report (only one, can't validate it otherwise) which said that this was his first time in the roll of "Mack"
