Go Disney! I noticed he went in for mental assessment. Hope he doesn't try that again!

He may need that mental assessment.

Re: Disney Wonder rescues Carnival passenger!
This was our cruise.

Thankfully for that passenger, Disney knows how to use their rescue equipment.
It was pretty interesting in a scary way, seeing the rescue.

Wow! Your cruise! Something interesting to see, but something you hope you never have to see.

Re: Disney Wonder rescues Carnival passenger!
I can't imagine how frightened he must have been he was rescued relatively quickly, but still had to tread water for an hour or so.
If he had hit his head going over and rendered himself unconscious, he'd never had made it.

Re: Disney Wonder rescues Carnival passenger!
I think I would have been frightened of everything in the ocean, not really the ocean itself.

Re: Disney Wonder rescues Carnival passenger!
Yes, it's the panic that will kill you. Seriously. That's what they teach you in diving school. In the dark, flailing about... I don't know if I could have done as well. I'd like to think so, with the training I've had, but sheesh... maybe being under the influence of alcohol helped in a back handed sort of way...

OMG Tink, that is really weird isn't it? Glad your cruise ship was able to assist him.
