United Airlines luggage handling
Just got this sent to me from someone on the web. Not that any of you travel with guitars, but I still think it speaks volumes about companies today and the way they do business.

Beyond that, it's pretty funny! In a macabre sort of way.

Re: United Airlines luggage handling
Can't play the video--I'm on dial-up.

Best guess is it/they didn't arrive in very good condition.
Makes me glad I play the flute! Although I have to remove it from my carry-on to go through security. I'm just waiting for the day that I'm told I have to check it because it could be used as a weapon. Very expensive weapon--the thing is insured for $4K replacement value!

Re: United Airlines luggage handling
Well, the good news out of all this is that this morning, the guy was on ABC's Good Morning America as well as a CBS Morning show.
The video was placed on Youtube on July 6th. As of today, it's had 1,351,943 views!
Seems it's also gotten United's attention. Not only are they now willing to pay for a replacement guitar for the guy, they want to buy the video from him to use as a "training film". To show their people and agents what "not" to do!
Yeah, right! To get it off Youtube more than likely!

Re: United Airlines luggage handling
Well... he's at it again.

Dave Carroll, the musician whose guitar got abused had said he was going to do 3 songs about United. Here's the second one. I'm sure United thinks this is all just the nightmare that won't go away!
