How do you pass time on the long flight?
Just wondering what you all do for entertainment if you have a long flight?
I usually just watch a couple of the films and sit and think of what's to come for the next few weeks....I am quite content thinking of myself watching Wishes.
What about those of you who have kids....how do you keep them happy?

I haven't really been on a long flight. Ours are usually less than 2 hours so I sleep and read.
We're going to CA in Aug so that will be the longest one I've been on and I am dreading it.

Re: How do you pass time on the long flight?
I'm USUALLY not too bad on the flight there. Watch a couple of movies, hopefully a documentary if they have one on
and maybe a book. The way back I'm hopeless
can't sleep, cant watch movies, just sit there feeling cramped until its over
I think the clever people are the ones with movies on their ipods or portable dvd players and a few long waited for movies.

Re: How do you pass time on the long flight?
I read or write in my travel journal. And try not to wiggle, twitch, jiggle my feet, shift around forty times a second...

I do watch movies from time to time, but not recently. They usually hold no interest for me.
I often work, too.

Mine's only about five hours--short compared to yours!
And sometimes it's connecting flights, so it's 1 to 1-1/2 hours followed by the balance to reach MCO. Depends on the connection location.
For NS flight--usually very early in the morning--I tuck myself in my seat with my pillow, reading glasses (gotta love middle age!), extra magazine or and water bottle in the seat-back pocket and tape a short nap--usually about one hour. Then I'm ready to read the in-flight magazine and supplemental materials and drink some water. And annoy whoever else is in the row when I have to get up to use the loo.
I favour the window seat!

Usually wait for the movies to start working, if ever
Read the skymag over and over as well as the pile of magazines that I take with me.
Usually take bits and pieces for the kids - comics, stickers etc - will take our Nintendo DS's next year though.
I always find the flight there doesn't seem to take too long it's the flight home that's the killer as I don't sleep at all and have to listen to all the snoring

Re: How do you pass time on the long flight?
I always prefer the aisle seat (on the right side of the plane if possible).
Piglit, I am so with you. I hate sitting still. I have to fidget and wiggle and move any part of my body that I can. It's awful for the person next to me!
