Favourite Hotel???

Ooh I can't wait.

I know a lot of people don't like it because it's dark and far from everything but there is just something about the whole place that I love and we always have a car so location doesn't worry us. On our visits there I loved chatting to the CM's about the animals and their home countries - they are so friendly and informative, and Boma is one of my fav onsite restaurants for breakfast and dinner, can't wait to see what the new Kidani village offerings are.

I'm rambling a bit now can you tell I'm excited

I voted port orleans because we re staying there but no one else voted for it, is it really bad or something? Im a bit worried now

Port Orleans (we stayed at Riverside) is a lovely resort, I'm sure you won't be dissappointed.

It's a 5-10 minute walk between the two resorts main buildings, and it's a lovely walk along the river, there is also a boat that takes you between them as well

WL looks so relaxing! I like AKL but can give or take the animals and hear alot of comments about the cooking smells from Boma and Jiko so WL is on the top of my wish list!

I love both AKL and WL because they're "proper" hotels all in one building which I prefer.

Can't say I've ever had smells from boma/jiko in the hotel or rooms though.

WL though, wow, when you come back from the parks you just feel like youre in a more relaxed world GREAT artist point restaurant which is usually quiet. It's not as dark as AKL either and of course, boat to and from the Magic Kingdom

I love both resorts. I've only stayed at WL though.

Jodie, the scents from the restuarants are done deliberately. Periodically, a chef with a smoking pan of spices and herbs will walk through the restaurants and the lounge (Victoria Falls) scenting the air with the aroma. It really is very nice!! I'm allergic to perfume and end up in sneezing fits with watery eyes and dreadfully stuffy head (not to mention instant pounding headache) so have become very leery of any scents. The spices at AKL do not bother me at all. :o

Next time you are at WDW stop by both the AKL and WL for a visit!
