Re: Argentinaian Wines
I would have loved to have tried the wines and beers but it was just too darned hot. I walked by the Sam Adams tasting and they were doing the pours 40 minutes before the tasting was even due to start. UGH Warm Beer.

Re: Argentinaian Wines
We did the Sam Adams tasting but didn't notice it being warm...not that Johnie and I would know...all of our "samples" got poured into Jon's glass

In regards to the heat..I noticed I drank less outside as well..the heat was just too oppressive. However, we did go over to the Welcome Center (which used to be the Wonders of Life Pavillion) for this particular tasting and it was lovely. The last few years we've been to the F&W Festival I'm ashamed to say we didn't set foot in this building and it was quite lovely...several tastings and neat items for purchase, and quite frankly, just a great place to get in out of the heat! I highly recommend it!

Re: Argentinaian Wines
We always do the festival center.
A very nice little stroll around.
Becca, we really enjoy Malbec. Argentina makes a nice dry red, and it goes beautifully with beef, of course. Now, you'll be in heaven if you can get Argentinian beef! LOL.
Can't say as I'd much care for the white. I'm pretty fussy about whites. Prefer French or Aussie.

Re: Argentinaian Wines
The Malbec was my favorite as well
The white? Notsomuch. Argentinean beef, eh? Would I like it? I like beef
They also had a chocolate presentation over in the Welcome Center at the same time (which was the original reason we headed over there). We arrived a good 45 minutes ahead of time and the CM's practically laughed in our faces!!! "Oh no, that's sold out, you'd have had to been here a LONG time ago to get tickets to that." Fine then. Wine is better anyway! However, I did ADORE the cute girl who was leading the Sam Adams tasting!! She was from Boston, cute as a button and had a sense of humor that was sharp as a tack. I would have gone back to listen to her again w/out even drinking the beer!

It was interesting and we got a nifty bottle opener too!
