Newbie going to WDW at end of month! Help!
Hi, all! I'm going to Walt Disney World with my boyfriend at the end of the month (well, starting Oct 24). I've never been, but he has, and we're both very excited!
Unfortunately, I spent almost 3 months out-of-work this past summer, and my fundage is not the best. I don't want to miss out on anything good, so if anyone has any tips at all about discounts/freebies/etc, I would absolutely LOVE to hear them!!!
Thanks, all! And happy haunting!

Hi and welcome!
Here's a good tip, if you don't mind drinking tap water, you can ask for a 'glass' of water and they will give it to you for free. Now remember it's not bottled, but when it's warm and you're thirsty, it does the job. This works at places like counter service areas.
Also, some meals are huge, so you may be able to split meals. Also, eat a bigger lunch, as it's cheaper for lunch than dinner.

Buy your souvenirs at the outlet store at Premium Outlets. Watch the prices there as they are not always lower, but most are.

Have a plan, and use the maps to help you make the plan. Each park is pretty big so it helps to know which attraction is in what park and where it is located in the park. That way you can set out a bit of a tour guide sort of thing.

I'm not sure now if fridges are standard in all rooms but if they are take advantage of that. Pack up some cereal or some other breakfast food, buy some milk at one of the grocery stores & eat breakfast in the room every morning. I find that saves us a lot for a family of 4 plus we can head to the parks so much sooner than if we went to the food courts & got in those lines & all. It works for us

Good luck & have fun!
