Twilight: New Moon
Just back from the midnight showing
Struggling to know what to say without all the fans strangling me
No, it was great it really was but it was very Bella centric (fine for me but I sense the Edward fans would've liked a bit more of him)!
Every time Edward came on screen there were screams around the cinema.
The strange thing is, not a lot actually seemed to HAPPEN and yet it was quite long but I felt strangely satisfied by it. I want to say it was too long but it wasn't and I did enjoy it. weird indeed.
I would say though that I bet the book is FAR FAR better. I get the sense that a lot was left out of the movie
Anyway, enjoyed it

Re: Twilight: New Moon
I have not read the books yet. I keep waiting for Alysia to bring them to me. Nor have I seen the movies.
Alysia tells me this and the 3rd are the worst books in the series so I can't imagine the movie is all that great.I am a travel agent with The Magic For Less Travel. Please private message me if you'd like help booking a trip!

Re: Twilight: New Moon
Saw it at midnight as well - completely different feel from the first film, much bigger budget, felt more blockbuster than small teen movie
I'm a big fan so not surprisingly I loved it - very true to the book and yes Edward is in it enough
Thought Taylor did a great job as Jacob, loved the way they got Bellas thoughts across which is something I was worried about as the book is so much inside Bellas head.
Now I've seen it and checked out its suitability I can take the kids next week
Bring on Eclipse!!!

Re: Twilight: New Moon
I thought they showed Bella's thoughts very well indeed
and she's really good too!
I do think seeing the first movie is a must before seeing this one (for people who havent necessarily been such a fan yet)

Re: Twilight: New Moon
The first movie wasn't nearly as good as the book I felt. The book was much much better. Wasn't fussed too much about seeing this one but if they have a bigger budget then it does sound like it's going to be better than the first rubbishy movie.

Re: Twilight: New Moon
Lisa,
Baleigh is downright BEGGING me to see it tonight, I was hoping to wait until I'd seen it first before agreeing. But you're saying you think it was ok?
I'd love to take her this evening...

Re: Twilight: New Moon
Caitlin is 9 and I will take her - she has seen Twilight at the cinema and was fine - couple of bits to watch for like Bella having her arm sewn up, and the Volturi are a bit threatening, big fight seen at the end that is fairly violent but just lots of throwing around the floor really. Don't remember much in the way of swearing or anything.
We are all different obviously as to what we think is OK for our children but I don't think it is any worse than Doctor Who and tbh that scares my 11 year old son sometimes and that is shown here at 7pm.
