Point and shoot?
I was looking for a small point and shoot to keep in my purse. You know for those quick moments when I'm out and about.
I'm going to be totally honest, I'm looking for something in the cheaper range. Any real money I have I want to put into my DSLR.
Any suggestions?

Re: Point and shoot?
Oh Tom, my phone may have a camera on it, but it's not a 'camera' to me.
Gun advice? Maybe I'll need that in the next couple of years.

Re: Point and shoot?
I highly recommend any of the Canon SD1000 series cameras...really small and cheap, yet takes some pretty great photos. We carry ours in our pockets sometimes.

Re: Point and shoot?
yep agreed, I dont think you can go far wrong there

For someone after a DSLR experience in a smaller package though, the panasonic gf1 or olympus ep-1/2 are truly superb but more expensive

Re: Point and shoot?
We actually have three different cameras, with all different levels we take pics with, especially at WDW. Our Canon SD1000, Canon Rebel XT, and the new one the Canon PowerShot SX110. I love the SX110 because it has manual capabilities like the DSLR, without the bulk. It is around $300 though...not cheap, but not expensive either. I like the SD1000 because of the size, but don't freak out if we damage it because it is so cheap to replace.
Either way you go, any small digital camera is pretty good. Stick with the brand you like and you can rarely go wrong.
