Re: Ruth Chris's
I really think you would like it Keith. Very dignified, but no pretense. It's not far from DTD. Just tell the cabbie to take Hotel Plaza Blvd, to Palm Parkway (which becomes Turkey Lake Rd.) and make a LEFT at Sand Lake. Follow Sand Lake to Dr. Phillips Blvd, and pull into the first area of the shopping center (bank will be on the corner, go to first drive past that) on the left. Morton's is in there.
Just giving you the directions so there are no problems.
Oh, you can also go straight through the intersection at Palm Parkway/SR 535/CR 535 and then turn Right on Sand Lake when you come to it. Morton's would then be on the left. Not sure which would be faster.Thank you for being a member of our Secrets Family!!! We are so very pleased to have you with us!

Re: Ruth Chris's
If you go the Turkey Lake/Sand Lake way, there is a brand new Whole Foods Market on the corner of that intersection. They have some wonderful take away food in there. A huge selection.
I don't know if you are into that or not when you are at WDW. But it's well worth the stop if you are. There are also beverages, nice wine selction and some wonderful cheeses

Re: Ruth Chris's
We tried Logans Road-house when we went to Orlando.
It's not fancy AT ALL but it was DELICIOUS. Seriously, I'm a vegetarian and I'd think twice about eating meat if it meant me getting to eat at Logan's again
.
It was lovely, it's exactly what comes to mind when you think of an American bar.. a bit like the one in the dukes of hazard :
: HUGE portions of good food, friendly locals, friendly people, good service and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg, we went three times during a 14 day stay in Orlando. It's got peanut shells all over the place and things like that:

Re: Ruth Chris's
Josh, I just had a family member go there with friends, and the food was terrible. Well, the steaks I should say. Tough and full of fat and gristle. Maybe they've fallen on hard times?
Just letting you know so you don't have your heart set on something only to be disappointed.

Re: Ruth Chris's
Wow, tough choice Keith, but I think I would have to choose Morton's. Although having said that let me say that I would feel comfortable in Ruth's Chris wearing a nice pair of slacks and a polo shirt. At Morton's I almost feel like I need a shirt and tie, though I don't think they require it.
