If you can see the moon right now...
look to the left the orange red light is Mars - it will become brighter and more red as it climbs in the sky. and will get better over January

wow thanks! ds10 and i just opened the front door and the moon and mars were looking right back at us! how cool, i'm going to pass the word around now.

Ha - just spottd it.
We have a telescope ( only a cheapie from Walmart) but we're going to go and have a look through it.
Arun uses the telescope as a clothes hanger so it will make a change for it to get some proper use!!

Me and eldest son had a look out the landing window and saw Mars,
We hadn't been home long and on our way home we saw the moon rising, that was a lovely site as the moon looked so big against the back drop of houses and fields.
Now we have a garden we most sort out our telescope.

*BUMP* if you get a chance tonight between the clouds Moon and Mars will be close again - its really very obvious - and you are looking at a little rocky world with 2 little rovers pootling about on it ( well one is and one is limping a bit TBH)
