Disney's Animal Kingdom Welcomes Endangered White Rhino
Disney’s Animal Kingdom recently welcomed a baby white rhino into their herd.
At one time, these rhino's were nearly extinct and are still considered tragically endangered. So as you can imagine, the birth of this bundle of joy was especially exciting. The new female baby, which has not as yet been named, weighed in at 178 pounds and is the eighth white rhino born at Animal Kingdom.

Re: Disney's Animal Kingdom Welcomes Endangered White Rhino
That`s fantastic news Becca. It`s such a shame that mankind has nearly wiped out animals like this in the wild where they belong.
[Just a bit of useless information. They are called "white" rhinos as this is a corruption of "wide", referring to their wide mouths.]
See I did learn something from my Kenyan safari all those years ago!

OOOH! Interesting tidbit indeed! I'll shall file that away for later use when I can use it to sound intelligent!

Absolutely agree with your words as well. Kudos to Disney and DAK for their hard work and wonderful contributions to the continued support of these awesome animals as well as others.
