I can tell you from experience that this is a WONDERFUL thing (in our experience, for little boys) to do.

Our Seth was given the full package as a birthday gift. He was treated with such kindness and personal attention! He chose the Jack Sparrow full costume (and wears it now each time he visits Disney!) and the "black eye" face. The young man who made up Seth's face was absolutely wonderful with him.

Seth was shown to a secret room, and had his photo taken every step of the way. There was sword fighting training, and pirate naming, and signing the book, and all sorts of things included. It's a true experience so DON'T rush it! Plan on spending as long as it takes.

Jack Sparrow will come out near the exit area at given times during the day. Seth was able to see him briefly, as it began to rain just as Jack came onstage. Jack commented on Seth's tailor (which pleased the boy to no end) and then had to dash.

If you have an opinionated pirate (as we do LOL) the sword included in the full package is a "Peter Pan Sword" and not a pirate sword, so be prepared to purchase the long, rapier like pirate sword! LOL.

Now, however, whenever he goes to the parks, he needs his Peter Pan sword... go figure.

It really is a super wonderful thing for boys to do. Girls do it too, and that's certainly fine, but it's a great counterpoint to those princesses!

Well you have to have the proper pirate sword in your chest but OF COURSE you want the one that went with the costume when you go back to the park. well DUH!

Yep! That's the way the boy thinks!!! Plus, the sword, being a Peter Pan Sword is all caught up in his thinking process with the dear friends who gave him this wonderful gift.

It really was the most fun I've seen the boy have in the parks ever.

I'm going to book Steven the first mates package. Can't see him being happy in full pirate costume in the middle of August in the Magic Kingdom. But he'll be up for face paint and some accessorising.
