      Re: Tips for August

I never really experienced the mosquitos either and I tend to attract them for some odd reason. I'm just that sweet, I guess.

Yes drink tons (more water than alcohol though)! Which leads to taking your time, don't rush. If you want to rest, then sit and rest.

Don't let the rain scare you away, the parks and alike clear out when it rains. I think a lot of people believe they will melt. I think a small travel umbrella works out nicer than the poncho. Those are cheap at lots of places.

The rain storms are pretty normal and tend to be like clock work. And in reality, when it doesn't rain it's even more hot.

      Re: Tips for August

I have been to WDW a few times during August and I agree that you should drink a lot of water. I also welcome the afternoon rain because it seem to chase people with small children away which leads to shorter lines. Definitely make all reservations well in adavnce because August is free dining time and getting a seat at a restaurant last minute is next to impossible. The heat and humidity makes the pool time even more enjoyable.

      Re: Tips for August

The factor system is different for US sunscreen compared to the UK stuff. We'll be taking our own for Steven definitely so we know what we're putting on him.

Sunscreen needed if you venture to Kennedy - speaking from experience here.

And I'll be in chef mickeys on the 16th, teppan edo on 18th, dine with shamu on 20th, 50s prime time on 22nd and 1900 park fare on 27th - feel free to say hello.

      Re: Tips for August

When we went in September we went into the parks later it was so hot . We went swimming alot that trip at the pool and the waterparks for Tyler. We didn't rush and we love the parks at night so it worked for us!Seems cooler when it's getting dark lol! Yes lots of sunscreen for swimming or anything!
