Tips for August
Most of you know that we have only ever been to WDW in December/January.
We are going back in December but for a shorter length of time. So, seeing as we have AP's to most parks, we are fitting an extra trip in this August.
We are going on a budget....any tips for me?
Also, I am assuming the weather will be quite a bit different to what we're used to in December so, what can I expect? Any tips to deal with the heat?
Will we need mosquito spray etc?

We go every August and it's very hot & very humid
Take water with you wherever you go. Slap on high factor suncream.
Applebees and Chili's do 2 people eat for $20 so that's a really good deal, share a appetiser, main course each and share a dessert.
We've never taken mosquito spray and haven't been bitten

Re: Tips for August
Get up early and go. Book your main meal of the day in the 2-4pm range. The afternoon storm usually comes around that time.
Take advantage of all the indoor shows and queues. Make sure you drink lots of water and wear light colors and lightweight colors. Ponchos are not needed because you will suffocate in them.I am a travel agent with The Magic For Less Travel. Please private message me if you'd like help booking a trip!

Re: Tips for August
Thanks

Is the suncream less expensive at Publix etc than buying it in the UK?
We quite like Chili's....is this offer on all the time?
Wow, pleased to hear about the mosquitos
Does this mean that a lot of the afternoon parades get cancelled then?

Re: Tips for August
I truly don't know. I don't know that I have ever watched an afternoon parade in Aug. It's just too hot to stand in that heat.

Check out both websites and put them on your favourites and you'll be able to see when they have them.
Applebees have had that offer since last August so I assume it's going to be a long term one.
They also have 1/2 price appetisers between 12-4pm and I still only eat half so take the other half home with me for later on
I think Chilis do it on and off
We tend to buy our sunscreen in walmart of Publix ( we check to see if they have any on special offer
