Disabled cruising?
I see on google that Disney Magic does disabled cruise packages, does anyone have any experience of this please?

Re: Disabled cruising?
I'd have to agree with Slowhand on this. Although it's never affected us personally, I've seen a number of physically challenged folks on our Disney Cruises. Disney always seems to have catered very well to them.

Here's the link to the portion of the DCL FAQ about guests with disabilities.
And here's the link to the specific section of the DCL website regarding Guests with Disabilities.
Hope this helps!

Re: Disabled cruising?
Well I have MS and my main concern is the swimming pools, I have tried to look at pictures of the pools because I really need a pool with steps going in to it and not just ladders. Ladders is a no no for me. Does anyone know if the pools have steps in please? It is reassuring to know there are disabled access to things on the ships. But I do love my swimming.

Re: Disabled cruising?
I know that there is a three or four step transfer tier going into the Quiet Cove pool (the adults only one). The best picture of the pool that I've found is attached. I think the "transfer tier" they're referring to is in the back but it doesn't actually get you down into the pool proper. Just the shallow area surrounding the actual pool itself. Access to the actual pool looks to be via ladders. However, that's only how it looks to me. I could be wrong. I'd suggest that you call DCL and ask them about it. They would be able to give you the definitive information.

Please let us know what you find out. This is information that would probably be very useful to have for Secrets members in the future.

Re: Disabled cruising?
I got curious on this so I called DCL to check. According to them, what I said earlier regarding access to the deeper part of the Quiet Cove pool is correct. Ladders only. The surrounding shallow area can be reached via the steps on the transfer tier but the actual swimming area access is via the ladders only.

... I'll just sit at the Quiet Cove bar and watch.
