yacht club beach club or boardwalk?

it would only be for a few nights but which of these would you choose? they all have a great pool right?

is the yacht club as dark as it looks? and how much closer would the beach club be to epcot as that may decide things

Re: yacht club beach club or boardwalk?

Personally I`d go for the Yacht/Beach Club Resort, and I always thought the Yacht Club to be fairly light and airy especially when compared with say the Poly.
There`s not a lot in it compared to the Boardwalk, but the Yacht Club is also that bit closer to Epcot.

Re: yacht club beach club or boardwalk?

      BEACH CLUB!!! BEACH CLUB!!!

Beach Club is the CLOSEST to EPCOT. It's lighter and airier than YC, which is made to approximate a yacht and they do it very well. It is a bit dark (in comparison to BC) and has lower ceilings (as a yacht would).

It's no secret that Old Tink is not a fan of the Boardwalk Resort. I'll always tell you to go with another over that one. However, MANY folks love it there.

Beach Club is my favorite deluxe resort and Old Key West is my favorite DVC (it's my home DVC).

Re: yacht club beach club or boardwalk?

You beat me to it Tink but I will second everything you say. BC is a much lighter resort that YC and for some reason seems more 'child friendly' than YC. It's only a five minute walk to Epcot (if that) and also a lovely stroll along the canal to HS. I like the look of the Boardwalk but it is very noisy at night and although I love it round there, I'm not sure I would like to stay there.

It`s the swimming pool which they are very strict about folks using unless they are staying at the resort.
Authorised guests are given armbands to wear to prove that they are allowed to use the pool.

It's the best pool on property bar none, it has a lazy very, a sand bottom, quick sand, zero entry, a vortex that you can endless swim against, a sand castle area for kids, and of course the giant pirate slide.

There are 3 pools that are exclusive..aka no pool hopping...Bay Lake Towers, Stormalong Bay..and Animal Kingdom.
