New Dr Who last night
Wot no thread

Pleasantly surprised
an excellent episode and his own touch - good luck Matt , not as upset as I thought I'd be by a long way and the preview of the new series looks just great
Looks like those blink statues are back

Re: New Dr Who last night
I was really surprised and pleased. I think he's naturally quirky which is as it should be so it's not like he's really acting

I found it hard not to imagine DT doing a few of the lines which I think he'd have done better with but that's just early days stuff I think.
yep, all in all, he's a much better choice than I thought and I'm looking forward to the rest.

Re: New Dr Who last night
They have tried hard to give it a completely new feel from the Titles to the Tardis and the 'I missed something' back tracking they did a couple of times - they have tried hard to make it obvious they are in a completely different place now they have not only lost DT but also the fantastic Russell T Davies.
I loved the fish custard bit, he also delivered his speech well at the end of the episode and I did like the 'phoning the aliens to get them back to tell them off' that was classy
Think I'm going to like Amy too
