Potentially another 2 years but there is a lot of work to be done, Japanese to be learnt, weapons to master.
His sensei is very good with him, she understands he has some balance problems and a few behavior issues but she works hard with him and he responds positively to her. She even puts a special "good behavior" stripe on his belt which he could lose if he's too naughty.
I'm very proud of him because he doesn't give up even when it gets tough for him.

just trying to catch up on thread - fantastic news Steven well done 
Hopefully they will teach him how to take on a lunatic with a golf club and then we'll be safe to meet up again
