Potentially another 2 years but there is a lot of work to be done, Japanese to be learnt, weapons to master.

His sensei is very good with him, she understands he has some balance problems and a few behavior issues but she works hard with him and he responds positively to her. She even puts a special "good behavior" stripe on his belt which he could lose if he's too naughty. I'm very proud of him because he doesn't give up even when it gets tough for him.

Wow I thought it would take way longer than that..that is amazing! Sounds like you found the perfect Sensei for him I have seen martial arts do wonders for some kids and it sounds like it is a really good thing for Steven. Keep up the good work Steven!!!
