We've done it several times. You book it like you would any other ADR. Time slots are in the mid afternoon.
They serve a wide variety of hot and cold teas, plus soft drinks, etc if you don't like or want tea. You can also purchase things ala carte or get one of the plans. They have pastries, fresh strawberries, finger sandwiches, scones, etc. It can actually be quite filling depending on what you order.I am a travel agent with The Magic For Less Travel. Re: Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian?
I'm not going to be popular with these comments, but it was our experience.

We made reservations and were ordered (yes, not told, ordered) to wait by the very unpleasant woman at the podium, "OVER THERE." Ummmm... ok.
We waited, and waited and waited and... no, the place wasn't jam packed.
We were finally seated. We chose the complete, full high tea with champagne. The sandwiches were dried out to the point that the edges were curling. The scones were hard, dry and crunchy as if they'd been baked last month and reheated and left to cool.
The only thing we really liked at all was the champagne and the strawberries. Stupid price for lousy food and really poor service.
If you want a proper tea, go to Mt. Dora and the Windsor Rose.Thank you for being a member of our Secrets Family!!! We are so very pleased to have you with us!

We've done the GF Afternoon Tea a couple of different times and have nothing but good things to say about it afterward. Unfortunately we did not get to do one when we were in London.

I liked it but it's not the same as a cream tea here. Jeff i think you may be disappointed if you've been to the Ritz. What i did like was that they give the kids there own tea pots with chocolate milk in it- Caitlin loved it as she thought it was Mrs Potts and chip at the time.
Oh and don't go on the teacups after having one
