the mugs that we refill all holiday long can be refilled at the resort correct but what about in parks and at counter service places which have the beverage stations? is that allowed?

As far as I know, no. Only at the resorts. But it's still a good deal although I do miss the old, larger mugs!

The refillable mugs are only good at the resorts.

I think the water parks have a refillable mug you can purchase as well.

yep the water parks have their own refillable mugs you can use trip after trip just buy a new barcode for it

I heard that we could take them in the parks and ask for them to be filled with ice water for free though? is that true?

I imagine it is. You can also ask for a cup of ice water for free as well.
