At the moment we have booked two category 10b connecting staterooms, but we might upgrade yet.

Re: Pelican Plunge at Castaway Cay - video
Awww.... Bambi... you're going to have SUCH a good time!

I don't believe I've ever been more excited in my life than when my DW and I did our first cruise. It was in 2003 and it too was the 7 day Eastern Caribbean on the Disney Magic. It was a retirement celebration as my wife had just retired after a 30 year teaching career.
It was so much fun! Here's a few pictures from that cruise.
We went to St. Maarten (if you're Dutch) or St. Martin (if you're not).
Then went to St. Thomas. Took an excursion over to St. John which I highly recommend. St. John is perhaps the most stunningly gorgeous place I have ever seen.
Finally to Castaway Cay. My preferred place to live if I had that choice!
You won't believe how much fun you'll have.
If you haven't seen it already, you might try to take a look at the Disney Magic 7 day Eastern Caribbean podcast.
Hopefully, you'll be able to see this video. If not, let me know and we'll work something out!

Re: Pelican Plunge at Castaway Cay - video
Thank you so much for sharing your photos.
I had to wait until the boys had gone to bed. The pictures of the flowers on St. Thomas are simply stunning. I also love the para sailing photos at Castaway Cay. Seeing your photos has made the whole idea of a cruise even more exciting and appealing.
I'm off to watch the podcast now.

Re: Pelican Plunge at Castaway Cay - video
Actually Bambi, all the major flower pictures were taken on St. John.
The other interesting bit is that the two pictures of the Disney Magic that I shot while para-sailing were shot blind. I couldn't see the ship! I was being towed out to sea by the tow boat and just had to aim the camera over my left shoulder and hope for the best.
I got very lucky!

Re: Pelican Plunge at Castaway Cay - video
Thanks Terry!

Yeah. It was something I had always wanted to do so the first time we went to Castaway Cay, I told my DW that I was going to do it. She decided to sit and wait at Marge's Barges.
After first making sure that my life insurance was paid up!

Re: Pelican Plunge at Castaway Cay - video
Finally got an answer on this one.

No age limit. But...
- You must be able to swim!
- Be at least 38" tall.
- Between 38" to 48" tall, you must were a life vest (provided there).
Hope this helps!
Tom (
... I'll just watch!)
